The Australian Veterinary Emergency Plan (AUSVETPLAN) is crucial to protecting Australia’s wildlife and agriculture – it is our nation’s agreed approach to responding to emergency animal diseases of national significance. Since 2005, Biotext has worked with Animal Health Australia and subject matter experts to make sure AUSVETPLAN response manuals and supporting documents are clear and unambiguous.
The products are tailored to their target audiences to support a coherent, efficient and effective emergency disease response that can be implemented consistently across Australia with minimal delay.

Our solution
As part of our long-term collaboration with Animal Health Australia, we provide ongoing consultancy and technical editing services for the large suite of AUSVETPLAN documents. Our technical editing process focuses on achieving accurate, clear and usable content, to support the overarching aims of the program.
We also developed a template for front matter of the documents, to help the team implement a consistent style across the suite, and help users understand and navigate the guidance.
