Promoting the success of Australia’s conservation programs is key to their continued funding and support. Biotext worked with a conservation organisation to write and design a glossy booklet showcasing their achievements to help them secure future funding.
We collaborated closely with the organisation to review and distil a variety of documents into a single narrative that highlighted the importance and innovation of their work. The booklet had to engage potential sponsors on both an emotive and factual level, as well as capturing the range and importance of the work done and the innovative and world-leading achievements of the scientists. Our final product was a key resource to engage, inform and inspire prospective sponsors and partners.

We were impressed with how the Biotext team developed a coherent and motivating story from a raft of documents and web material describing our organisation. They found a sweet spot between accurately described information and engaging narrative, and produced a beautiful product.

Our solution
Our collaborative development phase involved consulting with the client and reviewing a selection of written material, previous publications, web content and photographs to gain a deep understanding of the work of the organisation.
During our writing and editing stage, we used the insights we gained to develop an effective structure to showcase the range of work and achievements, and a story that was both moving and informative.
Our visual design phase focused on emphasising the key parts of the narrative that would appeal to prospective donors. This involved careful choice of photography to connect readers with the organisation’s wildlife and landscapes, and production of technical diagrams and infographics to clearly portray the organisation’s innovations and world-leading science.
Our favourite parts were learning about the organisation’s innovations, and crafting a cohesive and pleasing visual design based on the colour palette of the reserve’s iconic arid landscape.
